what we handle

The gaps we find most often

Most legal problems were visible months before they cost anything. A contract that was never updated, a policy nobody followed, a renewal date nobody tracked. These are the gaps we find most often when we sit down with a business at Lawyerly.

Legal health check

Documents that no longer match the business

Terms written for a different product, employment contracts from before the team grew, a privacy notice for a website you replaced. We find them and bring them back in line.

Compliance calendar

Risks nobody owns

Renewals, notice periods, regulatory deadlines and insurance conditions that sit in someone’s inbox. We put them on a calendar with a name against each one.

Growth planning

Growth that has outrun the paperwork

A new market, a new hire abroad, a bigger customer with a compliance questionnaire. We work out what the next stage needs legally and get it ready before you need it.

proactive legal solutions

How we keep you ahead of legal risk

Reactive legal work is expensive because it happens under pressure. Proactive planning is cheaper because it happens on your timetable. We meet regularly, review the business against the law as it is now, and agree what to fix before it becomes urgent.

Because your solicitor already knows the business, when something unexpected does happen the plan is already half written and the response is quick.

Legal health check and gap analysis

A structured review of contracts, people, data, compliance and IP against how the business actually operates today, with the gaps set out in a plain, prioritised list.

A plan with owners and dates

A forward-looking plan that closes the biggest risks first, tracks renewals and deadlines, and fits the work into your year rather than piling it up.

Regular sessions as the business changes

Scheduled sessions with your solicitor to review what has changed, adjust the plan and prepare for what is coming, from a new product to a new market or a round of hiring.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often, on how the subscription works, what it covers and how we charge.

Regular, scheduled sessions with your solicitor to review the business against the law and close the gaps before they cost anything, rather than calling a lawyer once something has gone wrong. It covers contracts, people, data, compliance and IP, and produces a prioritised plan with owners and dates. It is included in our subscription plans.

That depends on your plan and how fast the business is changing. Most clients start with a full legal health check, then meet quarterly, with more frequent sessions around a launch, a funding round or a period of hiring. Your solicitor will suggest a rhythm and adjust it with you.

The agreements you trade on, employment contracts and policies, data protection, the regulations for your sector, your brand and IP ownership, company records and the deadlines that sit behind all of it. You get a short written report that says what is fine, what needs attention and in what order.

Yes. Proactive legal planning is part of every Lawyerly subscription plan, alongside the advice and drafting the plan covers. It is not available as a one-off, because its value comes from the solicitor knowing the business over time.

Smaller businesses benefit most, because they have the least slack to absorb a surprise. A single missed renewal, an unenforceable contract or an employee dispute handled badly can cost more than a year of legal support. Planning keeps those from happening and lets you grow without a backlog of legal fixes.

Your solicitor is still there. You can raise questions through the Client Hub or book a call at any time, and anything that comes up between sessions is folded into the plan at the next one.
